Hi Guys, here is our interview section of this blog, Introducing Nilabh from travelescape.in He is a Travel Blogger, who loves travelling and photography. Let’s hear about his nomad journey. Enjoy Reading.
1.Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
An avid traveler, explorer, and photographer. Bitten by the travel bug, my interests lie in adventure travel and discovering new places. I value the need to respect nature and give back to the local environment during my travels
My blog TravelEscape is the reflection of all our journeys and experiences in India. Additionally, you will get all the necessary and vital destination information and useful travel hacks to be used.
2.Why do you love to travel?
I loves to travel because it gives a sense of freedom. It allows me to get away from “normal” life, experience other cultures, to get to know places we have only seen in movies or heard. We get to try new food and meet new people.
3.What destination is top of your bucket list?
I am looking forward to exploring Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The ocean and the beaches are so clear and pristine that one can forget the beaches of foreign countries.
4.Have you been anywhere which turned out to be totally different to how you imagined? If so, how?
Well in the positive sense yes, Last year I went to Wayanad (In Kerala). We expected our booked homestay to be a very lively place, however, we found our homestay located lonely in the middle of the forest with no trace of habitat in around 3 Km. In a way, it was bonus offer for me as I want to be in most loneliest place in India.
5.Where is your most favorite place you have traveled to?
The blue mountain of south India or popularly known as “the Nilgiris”. The greenery that fills the Nilgiris, the stunning and clean waterfalls and peaceful lakes are more than enough reasons not to come back
6.Since you love taking photographs, What is your favorite photo from your travels?
The best photo from my collections is always the candid shots of human and animals in the backdrop of the awesome landscape.
7.What is your most favorite memory or experience while traveling?
Early this year in Feb, I and my group of friends, along with our respective spouses went on a group trip to Mahabalipuram. Despite having a lot of options with hotels and resorts, we preferred to stay at a beautiful beach house. It was called ‘Kadal’, which means ‘The Sea’ in Tamil and we had the best time of our life there. The ocean was barely 300 ft from our stay. The accommodation gave us an opportunity to relax on hammocks, stay in a tent and experience fishing just like the locals. A Bluetooth enabled speaker provided by the host gave us a great reason to sing, dance and enjoy our beach stay in Mahabalipuram in best possible way.
8.Any Travel Hack/Tips?
Remember to scan your passport, identification card, and itinerary and email them to yourself or save on your cloud services. This provides an extra copy of each in the event of loss or theft.
9.If you could travel back in time to meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
It would be Alexander. I am truly impressed by Alexander’s quest to travel all way from Greek to the Indian subcontinent to expand his kingdom and that too thousands of years back.
10.What’s your advice to the people who want to travel but not started yet?
I started late in pursuing my passion or inner quest. If you are passionate about travel and exploration, start now. Monetary part can be dealt with but you won’t get the time and age and most important condition with you all time. Stay young stay curious.
